Oasis Clash

Elimination battles between two teams, the Lions and the Eagles, every Wednesday at 21:00 Riyadh time, for an hour. Short rounds, from 3 against 3 up to 5 against 5 depending on how many sign up, with the teams drawn again every round.

1. Who can play

  • Elite: level 99, and every transcendent character at any level.
  • Open: levels 80 to 98, not transcendent.
  • One character per person a night: a main account and its extra accounts count as one person, and so do two characters online from the same PC at the same time.

2. Signing up and leaving

The Clash is announced an hour before it starts. Sign-up opens at 20:30, 30 minutes before the start, and stays open all night. Type @clash join in chat, or talk to the Clash Herald in the Prontera square. You move to your bracket's arena.

  • The Clash Herald: its window shows whether you signed up or why not, tonight's status with each bracket's count and how many are missing, and your own state. Its menu only offers what works right now: sign up, leave, tonight's status, or how the Clash works. Outside Clash nights it gives the next night's date and when sign-up opens.
  • @clash: how many are signed up in each bracket, how many are in the arena, and how many a round needs.
  • @clash leave: cancel your sign-up and go back where you joined from, any time except while you're fighting in the round on. If you've fallen in the round, you can leave.

3. How many players

  • A round starts with at least 6 players in the arena, and teams grow up to 5 against 5.
  • Each bracket counts on its own. If both brackets are short but together have enough, they play shared rounds in the Elite arena until each has enough on its own.
  • While waiting, the game announces every 3 minutes how many are signed up and how many are missing, and tries again every minute. If it stays short for 10 minutes, that bracket's night ends.
  • Whoever sat out the last round, or just signed up, goes in first; the rest are drawn at random.
  • Logging out takes you out of the rounds, and after 5 minutes away your sign-up is cancelled.

Examples: 7 in Elite: 3 against 3, and one sits out and goes in first next round. 12 in Elite: 5 against 5, and two sit out. 4 in Elite and 2 in Open: one shared 3 against 3 in the Elite arena. 10 in Elite and 2 in Open: Elite plays, and Open waits.

4. How teams are picked

  • The round's players are ranked by strength: transcendent first, then base level, then job level; ties are drawn at random.
  • Then they're dealt out in turn: the 1st to the Lions, the 2nd and 3rd to the Eagles, the 4th and 5th to the Lions, and so on.
  • Healers (Acolyte, Priest, Monk and their transcendent jobs) are spread out: a team with none takes one from a team with two or more.

Example: High Wizard 99, Champion 99, Sniper 99, Assassin Cross 95, Priest 99, Knight 99. Lions: High Wizard, Assassin Cross, Priest. Eagles: Champion, Sniper, Knight. Each team has a healer: the Priest with the Lions, the Champion with the Eagles.

5. The round

A 3, 2, 1 countdown, then the walls come down. Every round starts at full health and lasts up to 5 minutes: the team that takes out the whole other team wins; when time runs out, the team with more players standing wins, and equal numbers is a draw. Whoever falls waits in their team's camp until the round ends. No wings or warps in the arena.

Every elimination is called in the arena in violet with both names, and the score bar at the top counts each team's players still standing.

6. The scoreboard

The scoreboard opens by itself every round: both teams with each player's job, state and eliminations, and the last three eliminations. The "Clash" tile under the shop button brings it back or hides it, and shows only in the arena.

7. Chat

The #clash channel holds everyone signed up, all night. During a round each team has its own: #lions1 and #eagles1 in Elite, #lions2 and #eagles2 in Open.

8. The break

A one-minute break after every round: fallen players come back to life, and the Arena Steward in the middle heals you fully and opens your storage. No buffs, and no fighting outside a round.

9. Prizes

  • 8 Oasis Coins for a win, and 3 Coins for a loss or a draw if you hit someone on the other team, up to 60 Coins a night. Coins go to whoever is in the game when the round ends.
  • 1 Event Bubble Gum a night for playing 5 or more rounds, counting both brackets and shared rounds together; it arrives when the night's last bracket ends.
  • The MVP of each bracket, the most eliminations (fewer falls breaks a tie): 3 Event Bubble Gums and 50 Oasis Coins; the Coins need you in the game when the night ends.

Example: 4 wins and 2 losses where you hit someone: 8×4 + 3×2 = 38 Coins, plus a Bubble Gum for playing 6 rounds.

10. The monthly ladder

The site's PvP page ranks the month in the PvP room (kills, deaths and the ratio) and the Clash ladder, and starts again every month.

FAQ

  • I signed up and no round started: fewer than 6 in your bracket; @clash or the Clash Herald shows how many are missing.
  • I sat out a round: it happens when there are more players than two even teams; you go in first next round.
  • One team looks stronger: teams are dealt by strength in turn, so the strongest on one side faces the 2nd and 3rd on the other.
  • Leaving the arena: @clash leave or the Clash Herald, between rounds, while waiting, or after you fall.
  • "Another account of the same person is signed up": one character per person.
